The letter must be written by the Russian citizen in Russian and on the correct letterhead, addressed to the appropriate Russian Consulate and must include the following information: who applicant will be traveling with (relationship, first and last name); where they will be traveling (city); where they will be staying in Russia (full address); how long applicant will stay in Russia (cannot exceed 90 days).
In addition, the following items must be submitted:
- A copy of the information page of the valid international Russian passport. Note: in Houston jurisdiction original Russian passport is required.
- Copy of the Green Card or US passport (of the Russian citizen writing the letter) required in Washington DC.
- Original and one additional copy of the passport of the applicant.
- Proof of the relationship to the Russian citizen (marriage certificate or birth certificate). Note: in Houston jurisdiction original is required.
- Copy of the round trip flight itinerary, showing entry and departure date from Russia.
