Houston jurisdiction: The applicant must not wear glasses in the photo unless the photo in the original passport includes glasses. Photos with glasses must not have glare or reflection in the lenses. Houston, New York and San Francisco jurisdictions: Multiple entry Russia visa requests must include two photos, one per application.
4Official Invitation from Russia:

Two copies of official invitation issued by the Russian Ministry of the Interior – OR – if the official Russian visa invitation was submitted directly to the Embassy of Russia or Russian Consulate, provide a record of the telex visa invitation number. Please note: For all multiple entry visa requests, or for single, double or multiple entry visa requests in New York and Houston jurisdictions, the original invitation from Russia or telex number is required. Faxed or scanned copies are not accepted. Information from the invitation is needed to complete the Russian Visa Application Form. You must have the invitation, or have the information from your host, before you can fill out the new Russia visa application form.

5Proof Of Departure:

To support rush visa requests submitted in New York, a computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets is required. All emergency visa requests must be submitted with an itinerary or copy of tickets.
6Minors:

For accompanying children the Russian visa application form can be completed and signed by a parent. In the case where a minor child's Russia visa application is being submitted separately from the parents' Russia visa applications, a photocopy of the parent's passport information page and an original signed letter from at least one parent must be included authorizing the Russian Consulate to issue the Russian visa and explaining who the minor will be traveling with to Russia. Applications submitted in New York must include a photocopy of the minor's birth certificate.
7 Global Reservation Form:

This is Travisa's service order form, where you will select the visa processing needed and make your payment. You must print the completed form and send it to Travisa with all other supporting documents.

Two copies of official Tourist Voucher and Confirmation issued by a Russian hotel, travel agency or joint venture registered as a tourist company with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A copy of the Voucher and Confirmation should be carried with your passport and Russian visa.

7Special Instructions:

For immediate family members of a Russian citizen, traveling together with the Russian citizen, and submitting the Russian visa application through Travisa in Washington DC or Houston; the official homestay invitation can be replaced by a letter from the Russian citizen. The letter must be written by the Russian citizen in Russian and on the correct letterhead, addressed to the appropriate Russian Consulate and must include the following information: who applicant will be traveling with (relationship, first and last name); where they will be traveling (city); where they will be staying in Russia (full address); how long applicant will stay in Russia (cannot exceed 90 days).
In addition, the following items must be submitted:
- A copy of the information page of the valid international Russian passport. Note: in Houston jurisdiction original Russian passport is required.
- Copy of the Green Card or US passport (of the Russian citizen writing the letter) required in Washington DC.
- Original and one additional copy of the passport of the applicant.
- Proof of the relationship to the Russian citizen (marriage certificate or birth certificate). Note: in Houston jurisdiction original is required.
- For a minor child, a photocopy of the information page of both parents' passports.
- Copy of the round trip flight itinerary, showing entry and departure date from Russia.

For accompanying children the Russian visa application form can be completed and signed by a parent. In the case where a minor child's Russia visa application is being submitted separately from the parents' Russia visa applications, a photocopy of the parent's passport information page and an original signed letter from at least one parent must be included authorizing the Russian Consulate to issue the Russian visa and explaining who the minor will be traveling with to Russia. Applications submitted in New York must include a photocopy of the minor's birth certificate. Accompanying family members must submit HIV test results, including minor children 6 months or older.
7Medical Requirements:

Copy of negative HIV test result, taken within previous 90 days. Results must contain the name, address and phone number of the hospital/laboratory/clinic where the test was taken.
8 Global Reservation Form:

Russia Visa Validity:

A Russian work visa is issued according to the dates and number of entries specified on the official invitation, at the discretion of the consulate. However, the entry date for a Russian work visa is always a minimum of 5 business days after the date of issue of the visa, regardless of an earlier entry date on the invitation.
Russian Visa Processing Time:

Regular processing time for a Russia visa application is up to 15 business days from the date that all materials including visa application and invitation are received. Rush and Emergency Russian visa service is available for additional fees, though emergency visa requests are processed at the discretion of the Russian Consulate and considered on a case by case basis. Rush and Emergency service is defined as any attempt made by Travisa to retrieve the Russian visa in less time than the amount required by the Embassy of Russia to process the visa.
In Houston: A Russian visa application can be submitted up to 30 days in advance of travel to Russia.
In San Francisco: A Russian visa application can be submitted up to 90 days in advance of travel to Russia.
In Washington DC: A Russian visa application can be submitted up to 90 days in advance of travel to Russia.
In order to ensure that visa applications for most embassies/consulates are submitted on the day that we receive them, they should be shipped to us via FedEx Priority Overnight (not First Overnight or Standard Overnight).
Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.

2Special Instructions:

A Guest of the Embassy Visa is given to those who have received an official invitation to visit Russia as a guest of an Embassy. This type of Russian visa is processed under the category of “Business” by the Russian Consulate. Two original Russia visa applications per applicant properly completed on-line, printed and signed; plus one copy,are required. Otherwise, please follow Russia Business Visa Instructions and select “Business” as the type of Russia visa on the Russian visa application form.

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Russia, with at least two blank visa pages available for Russian visa stamp(s). Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Russian visa stamps. In San Francisco the blank pages must be adjacent or back to back.

3Photo Requirements:

One recent 1 3/8 x 1 3/4 inch passport style photograph - head and shoulders, face forward, neutral expression, in color, and with a plain/white background. Houston jurisdiction: The applicant must not wear glasses in the photo unless the photo in the original passport includes glasses. Photos with glasses must not have glare or reflection in the lenses.
4 Business Letter:

Official Letter of Support from the US Department of State.
5Proof Of Departure:

To support rush visa requests submitted in New York, a computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets is required. All emergency visa requests must be submitted with an itinerary or copy of tickets.
6Special Instructions:

US Diplomatic/Official passport holders must apply for a Russian visa through the U.S. Department of State - Special Issuance Agency.
